Individuals who use the information presented within are responsible

Waterfalls are inherently dangerous locations. The
Northwest Waterfall Survey can not assume or guarantee your
personal safety when visiting a waterfall. Individuals
who visit locations described herein are solely responsible
for their own actions and personal safety.
The Northwest Waterfall Survey can
not grant permission to access waterfalls located on
private or posted property. We strive to maintain accurate information regarding which waterfalls are found on private land, but there are cases where the ownership of land may change hands and previously accessible waterfalls become inaccessible, or it wasn't clear in the past that the land was not publicly accessible. Landowners, if you own land which harbors a waterfall which we have presented information about, please let us know so we can make it clear which waterfalls can and cannot be accessed by the public.
For the general public, in compliance with property
laws and out of courtesey to private landowners, please ask
for permission before crossing onto privately held land to
visit a waterfall. If you are denied access or see No Trespassing signs, leave. If you are unsure whether the land surrounding a waterfall is privately held, please use your best judgment.
