I can't speak for low water conditions, but Jordan Creek Falls is all about power! This is an incredibly impressive waterfall, one that heavily dictates that photographs of it are to be taken to illustrate the force it exudes, so while a tripod is necessary for the more distant angles, up close its not necessary. The falls face northwest and will see very even, very flattering direct sunlight between 2pm and about 7pm during the heaviest flow periods of the summer. Spray is intense and unavoidable, so be prepared to shield your gear (an umbrella is useful in this regard).
