Shooting from Highway 2 there isn't a whole lot that can be done with Drury Falls. A powerful telephoto is necessary to get a good shot of the falls at all (300mm is recommended), and even at that, chances are it won't be an art shot. From the summit of Tumwater Mountain, however, the views are expansive over Tumwater Canyon and particularly worthy while the Balsam is in bloom. The falls face east and will be best lit until the early afternoon. After about 3pm, the light in the canyon becomes terrible to the point where the haze and shadow may render the waterfall invisible.
