Elowah Falls is one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the Columbia Gorge, but its also one of the most difficult to take a picture of. This is largely due to the massive volume of spray exploding off the falls during high flow season. There are a handful of angles where the mist isn't an issue, but just assume on getting wet trying to take pictures. Later in the year it won't be a problem at all. The high cliffs of the amphitheater will keep the falls in the shade for most of the year, but in the summer, expect the sun to light the falls during mid day.
