Big Brother Falls is a noisy little 22 foot tall waterfall along the White Salmon River a few miles outside of the Columbia Gorge. Immediately below the falls lies a second drop of about 10 feet referred to as Little Brother Falls, which is unfortunately much more difficult to see from any angle other than over the top. The falls are a popular attraction for kayakers all over the northwest but are not generally sought out by anyone else (partially due to the obscure, unmarked location).
- Big Brother Falls is the Adopted name of this waterfall.
Big Brother Falls are found off of Highway 141 north of Husum. From Highway 14 in Bingen, follow Highway 141 north to Husum. Proceed 7 1/2 miles north of Husum to an unmarked gated road on the right (east) at the north end of a clearcut and park. Hop the gate and follow the road for about 500 feet until it bends to the right. Watch for a faint path marked by sevearl pink and orange flags on the left. Follow this path into the canyon to the top of the falls. Total distance from the road is about 4/10 of a mile.
