This is potentially the largest of at least four major waterfalls along Wallace Creek as it flows from Thunder Basin on Mount Baker.

HISTORY AND NAMING INFORMATION

  • De Haro Falls is the Proposed name of this waterfall.
  • Known Alternate Names: Wallace Creek Falls

This waterfall has no known historical name (or documentation for that matter), so it has been proposed to name the falls after Gonzalo Lopez de Haro, who is credited with the first documentation of Mount Baker (which he called Gran Montaña del Carmelo) in 1790.
