Though this feature occurs along a man-made canal, the falls are caused by a natural ledge of bedrock which the canal intersects. Presumably because of this interaction with the bedrock, the USGS saw fit to label the falls on the topographic map of the area. Unfortunately the area around the falls has been heavily developed and the waterfall is no longer publicly accessible.
