Bunch Creek Falls
   Jefferson County, Washington

[ Physical Makeup ]  [ Pictures ]  [ Maps ]  [ Update History ]

Bunch Creek Falls is the tallest of the major waterfalls in the lower Quinault area, skipping about 60 feet down a mossy wall just feet inside the boundary of Olympic National Park. The falls are among the most photographed water features in the area due to their accessibility, however don't take the ease of access lightly. During my most recent visit, I slipped on a rock near the base of the falls and tweaked my wrist, and my friend slipped and almost slid face first over the top of the falls as we were photographing the top. The lesson learned is that rocks and moss equals slick surface and caution is necessary if getting closer to the falls is the desired action.
