Before the summer of 2003, my friend and fellow
waterfall bagger Dean Goss and I had been compiling
our respective data on the world's waterfalls
independently.
We have since uncovered many discrepancies in
so-called "common knowledge", and
felt we needed an outlet to make the correct
information
known. In the end, it was too much effort
to maintain a table listing the most noteworthy
waterfalls by hand for either of us.
So, to simplify and provide an invaluable
resource for the public, we launched the World
Waterfall Database in the Fall of 2003.
The site features information on a majority of
the world's most significant waterfalls, both
in height and volume. You will find up to
date information on most waterfalls over 300 feet
tall on this site, as well as an up to date list
of the World's Tallest Waterfalls here.
