The small outlet stream of pond-like Duchesnay Lake skips down a fractured cliff face in a pretty little display. The stream is fed almost entirely by Duchesnay Lake, and by the end of summer, the lake is drastically reduced in size and the outlet stream dries out until the lake fills up again. While compared to the rest of the waterfalls in Yoho Valley, this is by far the least impressive, but what it lacks in power and size, it makes up in beauty, as this is easily one of the prettiest falls in Yoho. I suspect the falls are really more than 13 meters tall, but there doesn't appear to be any easy way to see above what can be seen in the picture shown above.

Located in the Yoho Valley in Yoho National Park. From Highway 1 in Field, exit onto the Yoho Valley Road, just west of where the Highway starts to climb to Kicking Horse Pass. Follow the Yoho Valley Road to it's end at Takakkaw Falls, then begin hiking along the Yoho Valley Trail. You'll pass through a walk-in campground at the beginning, and in 2.2 kilometers, you'll reach two junctions. Angels Staircase Falls can be seen from the right spur, while a short spur on the left leads back to Point Lace Falls in about 200 meters.

Point Lace Falls is quite pretty, and is an excellent study for professionals. However, be sure to bring your filter wallet with you, because the lighting here can be unpredictable at best. Late afternoon lighting is probably the best when it's clear out.
